The City Council serves as the governing body of the City of Caro and is responsible for setting policies, adopting ordinances and resolutions, approving the City budget, and providing overall direction for municipal operations. Council members represent the interests of residents and work to ensure the City is governed in a transparent, responsible, and responsive manner.
City Council meetings provide an opportunity for residents to stay informed about City business and to participate in local government. During meetings, the Council considers matters such as community planning, public services, infrastructure improvements, and other issues that affect the quality of life in Caro. Public input is encouraged, and residents may have the opportunity to address the Council on agenda items or general City concerns.
Council members are elected by the voters of Caro and serve in accordance with the City Charter and state law. The Council works closely with the City Manager, City staff, and advisory boards and commissions to carry out City policies and long-term goals.

| My name is Karen J. Snider, Mayor of the City of Caro. I am serving in my second term as Mayor but I also served the City residents for over 20 years. I have been Clerk/Treasurer, Interim City Manager, plus many other duties. I am motivated to learn as much as I can and my mission is to always help others. I graduated from the Institute of Paralegal Studies and put my knowledge to work for Legal Services as a Paralegal for 13 years in Caro. My focus was on helping indigent individuals and I worked closely with the attorney so these individuals could achieve a better life. My vision for the City of Caro is to mare sure "all" residents get fair treatment and to serve them to the best of my ability. I want them to be proud of their thriving community and hear them say that the City of Caro is definitely their lifetime home. |

| My name is Charlotte Kish and I came to Caro when I was in the 4th grade. I became involved in Caro City Council around 2008 with my first experience being as an appointed official, serving out the remainder of a term. After being elected many times over I took a short absence in 2020 to pursue my BSN. I was re-elected again in 2022. Presently, I have the honor of having been voted in by the City Council as Mayor Pro Tempore. As I serve my term on Caro City Council my goal is to be a voice for our residents and to uphold a standard that allows harmony in our community. |

| My name is Emily Campbell. I'm 57 years old. I was born in Pontiac Michigan, and I graduated from Dryden High School in Lapeer county. I attended the University of Detroit I majored in liberal arts and minored in business law. I also had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a summer term in Italy.
