City of Caro (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Sherman Street Rehabilitation Project - 2500800

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received for a single prime Contract at 317 S. State Street, Caro, MI 48723 until March 30, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. local time. Electronic bids will be received by the city until 8:30 a.m. March 30, 2026 - visit www.carocity.net for more information on submitting an electronic bid. At 10:30 a.m., the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes partial rehabilitation and partial reconstruction of Sherman Street. Proposed work will include concrete curbing, HMA paving, driveway replacement, sidewalk and ADA ramps, storm sewer replacement and structure adjustment, water main replacement, pavement markings, turf restoration, and other related site work.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office (ROWE Professional Services Company, 128 N. Saginaw Street, Lapeer, MI 48446) on Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Fridays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. by appointment only and given 24-hour notice. Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract documents for submitting a bid must be obtained upon application at the office of ROWE Professional Services Company. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bidding documents must be purchased from the Engineer. Bids submitted on forms obtained anywhere besides the office of ROWE Professional Services Company will not be accepted. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The above-referenced project requires Owner's and Contractor's Protective (OCP) Liability Insurance in addition to general liability. All successful bidders must comply with the insurance requirements set forth in Article SC-6.03 of Section C-800.

City of Caro, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any formality or technicality in any Proposal in the interest of the Owner.
